As you are aware, since Office 2007, all Microsoft Office version numbers have been assigned using a straightforward arithmetic sequence that differs by three. Despite the rule, Office 2021, not Office 2022, is the official name of the new Microsoft productivity suite that replaced Office 2019 and was published on October 5. I might give it another thought later, but not right now.

Install Office 2021 after downloading it.

Before you begin, confirm that the version of Windows 10 or later is installed on your computer. Office 2021 cannot be installed on Windows 8 or previous versions.
Simply click this link to get Microsoft's official download page. The IMG file is 4.2 GB in size. After the download is finished, double-click the file to mount it to a virtual disk on your computer. Next, install Office 2021 on your Windows computer by following the Setup Wizard's instructions.

Running commands manually to activate Office 2021

Step 1.1: Use administrator access to launch the CMD program.

You must first launch CMD in admin mode before executing each of the commands listed below one at a time.

Run cmd program with admin rights

Step 1.2: Open CMD and navigate to the Office directory.

cd /d %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Office\Office16

 cd /d %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office16

Your OS's architecture will determine the Office directory if you install Office in the ProgramFiles folder. Simply execute the two aforementioned commands if you are unsure about this problem. An error notice will appear on the screen if one of them is not executed.
